When you contact the service by telephone (or through the chat function on the platform) you will be in contact with a qualified and accredited counsellor or psychotherapist.
Who can use Minding Creative Minds?
Minding Creative Minds is available for anyone working within the Irish Music Industry sector based in Ireland (Including Northern Ireland).
What can I expect when I call Minding Creative Minds?
You can expect to receive emotional support, a listening ear, information, guidance and signposting to additional services that may be of help. Depending on your issue and its severity, if appropriate, you can be referred on for up to 6 counselling sessions free of charge.
You may also be able to access additional support and advice on a range of issues including financial, legal, career advice or many other issues.
What type of counselling can I receive?
If the counsellor (case manager) who answers your call assesses that you will benefit from onward referral to counselling, you can avail of counselling through face-to-face counselling, video counselling or telephone counselling.
Along with in-the-moment support, based on the initial assessment the case manager will recommend the most appropriate type of counselling.
Counselling usually starts within a week of first contact and is limited to a maximum of six free counselling sessions.
When I get in touch with Minding Creative Minds, is what I discuss kept confidential?
Yes, all records of your specific case and issue are fully confidential. We only report on aggregated reports of all calls and enquiries to the service. This can only be accessed by the Minding Creative Minds team to monitor engagement and report on relevant trends within the industry.
Personal details must be provided if referred on for counselling sessions following your first call. In certain instances, we may not be able to keep the information you give us confidential. This is only where there might be a risk to your own health and safety or the health and safety of others.
How often can I call to receive emotional support?
There is no limit to how many times you can access the Minding Creative Minds freephone support line. In terms of referral, you can avail of up to 6 counselling sessions.
Can I contact Minding Creative Minds through the Minding Creative Minds platform or app?
Yes. The Minding Creative Minds platform & app enable a live chat function with a qualified counsellor or psychotherapist 365 days per year, 7am – 10pm daily, and offer users convenient, confidential access to helpful videos, podcasts and blogs on topics around mental health, reducing stress, mindfulness, sleep, nutrition and more.
